The Park: Restcamps - Lower Sabie Advisory | Exploration | Map | Restcamps | Sections | Statistics | The Park Lower Sabie, set in the foothills of the Lebombo Mountains overlooking the Sabie River has guest cottages, huts, a petrol station, shop, restaurant and a laundry.
Lower Sabie lies in a prime game-viewing region where large herds of antelope - and their attendant predators - congregate to feed from some of the sweetest grazing in the entire park. The camp itself is equally spectacular; nestling in the foothills of the Lebombo Mountains, it provides beautiful views of the procession of animals coming to drink at the Sabie River. It is a shady and restustful camp dominated by rolling lawns and well-established marula, wild fig. Natal mahogany and fever trees. The diverse vegetation and abundant water of the southern Kruger make this region outstanding for bird-watching, and you are likely to see purple-crested louries, masked weavers, ducks, herons and kingfisher within the camp. Accommodation in the camp is charming and many of the huts are grouped together in clusters of three, making this an ideal family camp. Other restcamps: Berg en Dal, Crocodile Bridge, Letaba, Mopani, Olifants, Orpen, Pretoriuskop, Punda Maria, Satara, Shingwedzi and Skukuza restcamps. Other bushveld camps: Bateleur, Biyamiti, Shumuwini, Sirheni and Talamati.
