The restcamp is located in the southern section of the Kruger National Park. Not far from a dam and the Lebombo mountains.

Orpen restcamp entrance...Orpen is a small camp with self-catering huts and has a satellite camping site not far away at Maroela. Day visitors are permitted however and there is a petrol station and a shop.

Orpen, the smallest and perhaps the most restful of all the camps in the Kruger National Park, is ideal if one is looking for a simpler game reserve experience. Basic provisions are available and guests share a communal kitchen. The camp is named after the Orpen family which generously donated seven farms to the Kruger National Park in the 1930s. Orpen has a small satellite camp at Maroela where twenty caravans can be accommodated in a scenic setting near the banks of the Timbavati river. A few kilometres away downstream from Maroela is Tamboti, a new tented camp. Accommodation is in furnished safari styled tents.

Other restcamps: Berg en Dal, Crocodile Bridge, Letaba, Lower Sabie, Mopani, Olifants, Pretoriuskop, Punda Maria, Satara, Shingwedzi and Skukuza restcamps.

Other bushveld camps: Bateleur, Biyamiti, Shumuwini, Sirheni and Talamati.
