Talamati bushveld camp is located in the central section of the Kruger National Park and offers nice day walks. The bushveld camp is located close to Orpen Gate.

Talamati Bushveld Camp is renowned for its Lions...Talamati bushveld camp is situated near the dam close to Orpen Gate. Talamati has ten 6-bed and five 4-bed huts overlooking the Nwaswitsontso river. The name appears to be some of a misnomer. Since Talamati means "lots of water" in Tsonga, but the river is always dry. There is however, an abundant storage of underground water and the clayey soil holds the moisture for long periods of time. The vegetation that is always present therefore attracts large numbers of antelope and attendant predators. This is an important area for sable antelope and the king of the animal world, the lion.

There is an alternative to staying in the standard accommodation offered at the Kruger National Park, and one which is particularly suited to people who like watching birds and those people who prefer to be alone with nature. A number of smaller camps without shops or restaurants and that only offer serviced and fully furnished air-conditioned accommodation to ensure a very comfortable stay. Private camps accommodate fewer that 20 people and visitors must book the entire camp. Thus it offers an exclusive experience as well. Bushveld camps can be booked on the normal basis for any number of guests. They are in great demand and even though one has to book up to 13 months, over a year, in advance, they are generally oversubscribed.

Other bushveld camps: Bateleur, Biyamiti, Shimuwini and Sirheni.
